Anti-Israel demonstrators interrupt Kamala Harris attendance on Jimmy Kimmel

(MENAFN) A recent recording of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show featuring United States Vice President Kamala Harris was significantly disrupted by anti-Israel protesters. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, involved activists accusing Harris of supporting "genocide" in Gaza. The protest was orchestrated by the anti-war group Code Pink, a feminist grassroots organization dedicated to ending "United States warfare and imperialism."

During the recording, several activists loudly interrupted the show, shouting phrases such as "Stop the genocide" and "You’re a murderer" directed at Harris. One protester specifically accused her of being responsible for the deaths of 15,000 children. Another urged her to stop sending money to Israel, while others labeled her a "war criminal" and used explicit language, all while waving a Palestinian flag.

Despite the interruptions, both Jimmy Kimmel and Kamala Harris appeared to ignore the protesters, with the show’s live band playing over the shouting. Eventually, security personnel approached the activists and escorted them out of the studio.

The video, later posted by Code Pink, shows a conversation between one of the security personnel, who identified himself as a police officer, and the activists. He informed them that they were under arrest and demanded their identification. The group was then expelled from the venue, where they continued to chant pro-Palestinian slogans such as "Ceasefire now" and "Free Palestine."

In a press release issued on Wednesday, Code Pink activists claimed they were assaulted and forcibly removed from the show by security personnel. They described the action as "unprovoked and completely unnecessary" and demanded an apology from the show's organizers. This incident highlights the ongoing tensions and strong emotions surrounding United States foreign policy and its implications for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
