Cairo, June 6 (Petra) -- Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt, Amjad Adaileh, Thursday said, " The continued efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II regionally and internationally since the outbreak of the war on Gaza... have effectively contributed to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip."
He told the Jordan News Agency that Jordan's hosting of the International Conference on Emergency Humanitarian Response in Gaza came after a series of contacts, meetings and consultations led by His Majesty the King and Jordanian diplomacy with various parties, the latest of which was His Majesty's efforts at the Arab Summit in Bahrain in May.
He said, "The Arab and international aspirations and hopes for the conference are based on its importance and the size of the active participation in it and the support it provides to the relief side at the international level and its main goal of finding practical steps to ensure the immediate and sustainable delivery of humanitarian and emergency medical aid to the Gaza Strip."
