Cairo, June 5 (Petra) -- The Arab Observatory for Human Rights (AOHR) called on the international community to work towards reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and putting an end to the crimes and massacres carried out by the Occupation entity in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, which left thousands of martyrs, wounded, and injured, as well as forced displacement operations that turned the Strip into a mass graveyard and an unlivable place.
The AOHR said in a statement on Wednesday, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the Naksa, that this dangerous escalation in the Palestinian Rafah area will drag the entire region into a raging conflict with catastrophic results that no one can bear.
It called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and force the occupation entity to comply with the resolutions of international legitimacy, the International Criminal Court (ICC), and international humanitarian law, stop these massacres committed against humanity, allow humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip, open the crossings, and not use them as a tool of pressure.
