Arab Parliament Calls For End To Genocide In Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, June 5 (KUNA) -- The Arab Parliament has called for an end to genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement at the hands of the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
In a statement on Wednesday, on the 57th anniversary of the nakba, which is June 5 of every year, the Parliament affirmed that the inability of the international community to stop the genocide in Gaza takes the world back to the Dark Ages, and allows chaos in place of international law.
They stressed that the anniversary of the nakba this year coincides with the blatant Israeli occupation aggression against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip since last October 7.
The Parliament pointed to the death of thousands of martyrs in the deliberate war of genocide on Gaza in conjunction with an unprecedented escalation by the occupation entity and its settlers on Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Arab Parliament called on the international community, the Security Council and the world's parliaments to assume their responsibilities in stopping these massacres committed against the Palestinian people.
As well as providing international protection for Palestinians, holding the occupation accountable for its crimes, and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, with the right to establish an independent Palestinian state with the city of Jerusalem as its capital. (end)
