Azerbaijani FMJeyhun Bayramov met with Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairsand National Community Abroad of the People's Democratic Republicof Algeria, during his working visit to the state of Qatar,Trend reports,referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, Jeyhun Bayramov expressed congratulations onthe 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationsbetween Azerbaijan and Algeria, which is being commemorated thisyear.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the existing level ofcontact within international organizations, particularly the UnitedNations, Non-Aligned Movement, and Organization of IslamicCooperation, emphasizing the significance of continued mutualsupport for candidates and initiatives within theseorganizations.
The sides stressed the necessity of strengthening partnershipsin energy and other areas, emphasizing the significance ofhigh-level visits and political meetings.
Bayramov mentioned the importance of developinginter-parliamentary ties and highly assessed the visit of membersof the Algeria-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group toAzerbaijan on April 22-25 this year.
The sides emphasized the importance of expanding bilateralrelations in the energy sector.
Additionally, it was noted that the 29th session of theConference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on ClimateChange (COP29), which will be held in Azerbaijan this year, willcreate favorable opportunities for new spheres of cooperation.
Other bilateral and regional matters of mutual relevance werealso addressed at the meeting.
