Labor Minister Checks On VTC's Training Institutes In Marka Region

Amman, Oct. 24 (Petra) - Minister of Labor and Chairman of Board of Directors of Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), Nadia Rawabdeh, on Tuesday toured a number of the VTC's institutes in Amman's Marka region.
During her visit, the minister was briefed on conditions of the VTC's training process and the modern equipment available in the corporation's workshops and labs.
Rawabdeh stressed VTC's keenness to strengthen "true" partnership with all development sectors in the public and private sectors and local and international civil society institutions.
Additionally, she highlighted importance of providing "quality" opportunities for youth and women in all the Kingdom's governorates to ensure their integration into the local and regional labor market.
The minister also lauded the VTC's "advanced" level and its keenness to integrate modern technology into training programs, in line with the future skills required to enter labor market.
For his part, VTC Director General Ahmed Gharaibeh indicated that the corporation is continuing to develop its training programs, in line with labor market's needs, rapid technological development, and future specializations, according to five strategic axes, aimed to to raise rate of enrollment in Jordan's vocational training, as per plan to modernize Jordan's public sector.
