Passenger plane veers off the runway in Somalia

(MENAFN) Based on the state press, a small travel airplane swerved off the runway on entrance on Tuesday at the Mogadishu international airport in Somalia.

Footage of the occurrence uploaded on social media platforms by journalist Harun Maruf displayed the airplane descending into shot before careening into a fence as well as actual wall, incompletely separating the cabin.

The Somali National News Agency quoted the transport minister as stating that one person was wounded, however, all had been securely saved.

“The Somali Civil Aviation Authority would like to reaffirm that the preliminary report will be released once the current investigation concludes,” an agency declaration stated.
It is not directly obvious what triggered the incident. As climate at the coastal airport was cloudy back then.

In July in 2022, a passenger airplane turned on to its back at the airport before catching fire, causing smoke to rise into the sky above the capital. However, all of the team and travelers were saved.
