The Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked a hospital in Omdurman with a drone, killing at least four civilians and injuring four more, the health Ministry reported on Saturday.

Witnesses reported that there were new fights on Saturday in Omdurman and Bahri, the two adjoining cities that make up the larger Khartoum capital of Sudan, Reuters reported.

According to the Sudanese army, the strike on the Medical Corps Hospital resulted in five fatalities.

Also on Saturday, the RSF released a statement refuting the claims made in a Human Rights Watch investigation that RSF and militias killed scores of civilians in Misterei, West Darfur, in a single day in May.

Since the start of the war in Khartoum, a wave of racially motivated attacks has spread throughout Darfur.

The RSF said they were not involved in the violence in Misterei and the adjoining city of El Geneina and that it was“purely tribal.” It claimed that during the May 28 killings, its forces had been moved from Misterei to El Geneina.

Numerous witnesses and activists have confirmed RSF's alleged involvement in committing acts of violence in El Geneina and other parts of Darfur.
