Iran, India to build mutual committee for agricultural partnership


(MENAFN) Iran and India have made a significant stride in strengthening their agricultural ties by agreeing to establish a joint committee for agricultural cooperation between the two countries. The decision was reached during a meeting between Iran's Deputy Agriculture Minister, Mohammad Mehdi Borumandi, and Secretary of India's Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry, Manoj Ahuja, held in New Delhi. This collaborative effort aims to enhance agricultural cooperation and exchange knowledge and expertise between Iran and India in the agricultural sector.

The meeting served as an opportunity for both officials to review and assess the current status of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture. Recognizing the potential for further collaboration, the officials agreed to form a joint working group that will focus on agricultural cooperation between the two nations.
