SAN FRANCISCO - Tech specialist Jeff Koo, who's handled client work for the likes of Shopify and SAP, has joined Bateman Agency as a VP.
Koo's responsibilities include operationalizing and leading Bateman's media relations practice.
Koo has been part of the San Francisco PR business for 16-plus years, most recently serving as a WE Communications VP. At WE, Koo helped the agency win the Shopify account, leading its product team, and conducted thought leadership for SAP's executive board. He also managed investor and portfolio communications for Intel Capital, the corporate venture capital arm of Intel.
Before WE, Koo spent 14 years at Spark PR, leading
the agency's consumer practice which included clients Fujitsu, Lowe's, OnePlus, Dropcam, Anova Culinary, Wallbox and Grindr among others.
He reports to fred bateman , who relaunched the eponymous agency in 2020 and executive VPs rachael cassidy and Tara Klein.
Koo's hiring comes on the heels of four new client wins for Bateman, which added a total of $850,000 to the firm's annual revenue. They are social video sharing app Flip; SOAR platform Tines; compute infrastructure provider W3BCloud; and security posture management company Bionic.
