Uzbekistan, Hungary To Discuss Direct Flights Launch Soon


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. Uzbekistan and Hungary have discussed launching direct flights between the capital cities - Tashkent and Budapest, trend reports, citing the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

The issue was discussed at the meeting between Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev and Ambassador of Hungary to Uzbekistan Gyula Kovács and representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Adrienn Gobel.

In order to make a final decision and discuss in detail the technical and economic aspects of the issue, the parties plan to hold negotiations in the near future with the participation of representatives of the competent authorities of the two countries.

Earlier this year, on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Minister of Economic Development of Hungary Márton Nagy discussed the opening of direct flights between the two countries. The parties also agreed to boost the preparation and implementation of projects in transport and communications, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, as well as to create effective financial instruments.
