Iranian President Promises to Fulfill Promises in New Year Address

(MENAFN) In his New Year address, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that his administration would do its best to fulfill promises made to the Iranian people, including improving people's livelihood, anti-corruption measures, controlling inflation, strengthening production, and increasing employment. He expressed his congratulations on the beginning of the new year to all Iranians, especially the families of martyrs, veterans, and the Supreme Leader, and to all those who love Iran.

President Raisi noted the eventful nature of the previous year, with both bitter and sweet moments, ups and downs. He described it as a year of the power of the people and the heroism of the Iranian nation and its brilliance in decisive fields. He acknowledged the tragic natural events that occurred, such as earthquakes, floods, and accidents, and praised the government's quick, effective, and reassuring response.

The President also acknowledged the autumn riots and the terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Shahcheragh, noting that they were products of the conspiracies of Iran's enemies. Despite these challenges, the government's project to restore the hope and trust of the people made significant and acceptable progress. He credited the detailed planning of the government and the trust and support of the people for the failure of the sanctions project.

President Raisi highlighted the popularisation of subsidies in the implementation of the law of the parliament as a milestone in the crystallisation of the trust of the people and the government. He noted that the government spoke honestly to the people on this issue, fully informing them of the necessity of the action, considering compensations in the implementation, and increasing direct subsidies payments six to ten times. The result was the successful implementation of the law with the support and trust of the people.

In his New Year address, President Raisi emphasised his commitment to fulfilling promises made to the Iranian people, including improving their livelihoods and combating corruption. He acknowledged the challenges facing the country, including natural disasters and external pressures, but expressed confidence in the resilience and strength of the Iranian people. The President's speech reflects the ongoing efforts of the Iranian government to address the needs and concerns of its people and to maintain its sovereignty in the face of external pressures.
