PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): The wrestling completion titled“Da Azadi Pasarly” has started in the capital of northern Baghlan province.
With the arrival of spring season, this wrestling competition kicked off on Monday afternoon and dozens of wrestlers from the provincial capital and 14 districts participated in the competition.
Maulvi Mustafa Hashimi, director of information and culture, said on the occasion that wrestling was the symbol of unity of these tribes.
He added that besides health, sports and games were also prevent divisions among tribes and bringing unity and the Islamic Emirate was working to promote it.
Qari Mohammad Amir Amiri, director of sports and physical training of the province, said that sports had developed in Baghlan and it was the third wrestling completion being held since last month in the province.
Qari Abdullah, a wrestler who participated in this competition, told Pajhwok that he was happy that these competitions had been organized for the purpose of healthy engagement for the youth on the occasion of spring and new year.
