(MENAFN) A new international freight route for RCEP member countries has been opened through Shenyang to Europe via entrepot trade. The train carrying cargo containers departed from the Chengtong Trade Port Free Trade Zone in Shenbei New District, Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Saturday morning. The route includes member countries such as Laos, Vietnam, and Japan.
The Chengtong Trade Port has rich rail resources and connects different logistics routes, such as China-Europe freight trains and the China-Laos Railway. This facilitates the collection and transportation of general trade goods, cross-border e-commerce goods, transit goods, and bonded goods at the same venue.
The opening of this new freight route will enhance connectivity between RCEP member countries and Europe, promoting economic development and trade. It will also provide a more convenient and efficient transportation option for the exchange of goods between RCEP member countries and Europe. This will help to further deepen economic cooperation and promote regional integration among RCEP member countries.
In addition to the new freight route, the Shenbei New District plans to construct a 20,000-square-meter RCEP enterprise service center. This expansion will transform the district's focus from a single logistics channel to a comprehensive industrial layout and supply chain. The new service center will provide support services for RCEP member companies, such as customs clearance, logistics, and finance, further promoting trade and investment between RCEP member countries.
