Prime minister of Albania contributes money to Turkey


(MENAFN) Edi Rama, the prime minister of Albania, gave €1 million ($1.06 million) on Wednesday to Turkey's brand-new Türkiye One Heart initiative for earthquake victims.

A combined live broadcast on 200 television and 500 radio stations attracted contributions from businesses, institutions, organizations, and people.

Rama, speaking on behalf of Albania, expressed their profound sadness over what transpired in Turkey to the people.

Despite being a little nation, we have a large heart. When the earthquake struck Albania in 2019, Turkey and its president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, came to our aid. We are prepared to help the Turkish people in every way we can. I have no doubt that everything will be accomplished because of Türkiye's efforts," he stated.
