Troops thwart drone attack on defense infrastructure in Isfahan

(MENAFN) Air defense troops let down a drone invasion aimed at an army workshop in the central city of Isfahan on Saturday night, the Iranian Defense Ministry stated on Sunday.

The ministry reacted shortly following reports of a blast at one of Isfahan's army centers.

Many micro aerial vehicles (MAVs) had tried to attack one of its workshop complexes but that the complex's air defenses had been able to resist the invasion, the ministry made a statement.

“Two of the MAVs were trapped in its defensive traps and detonated, while the other one was brought down by the complex's air defense fire,” the ministry said in its declaration.

The ministry added that the failed efforts just resulted in minor damage to a workshop's roof. It as well read that the facility continued regular activities following the incident.

“Thanks to God’s blessing, the attack caused no disruption to the equipment and the operations of the complex,” according to the declaration.
