Qatar Participates In UN Expert Meeting On Drugs, Crime

Qatar participated in 11th open-ended intergovernmental expert meeting to enhance international cooperation under the UNCAC, organised by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), held in Vienna.
HE President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad headed Qatar's delegation at the meeting that was attended by Qatar's ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN and international organisations in Vienna Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansoori.



The meetings dealt with many topics, including the implementation of Chapter IV of the UN Convention Against Corruption, the follow-up to the outcomes of the General Assembly's special session on challenges and measures to prevent and combat corruption and the strengthen international cooperation.
On this occasion, HE Al Misnad commended Qatar's hosting of the third session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption in 2009, as that session constituted a distinctive mark in the history of anti-corruption conferences, noting that Qatar submitted a request to host the eleventh session for the same conference scheduled for 2025.
