Kuleba Demands From Iranian Counterpart That Tehran Stop Supplying Arms To Moscow


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, demanded in a call with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian that Iran immediately stop supplying Russia with weapons, which are being used to kill civilians and destroy critical infrastructure.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy reported the news on , according to Ukrinform.

“Today, I received a call from Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, during which I demanded Iran to immediately cease the flow of weapons to Russia used to kill civilians and destroy critical infrastructure in Ukraine,” Kuleba tweeted.

As reported earlier, Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to the UN Khrystyna Hayovyshyn told a meeting of the Security Council that the investigation into the supply of Iranian drones to Russia must be launched immediately.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have more than 300 Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones since September 13.

Russia employs swarms of these one-way attack drones to attack Ukraine's critical energy infrastructure, causing significant damage, which has already resulted in rolling blackouts across multiple regions.
