Doha: The Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the US Department of Labour and in coordination with the US Embassy in the State of Qatar, organised a training workshop on occupational safety and health from October 25 to 27.
This falls within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the government of the State of Qatar and United States of America in the field of labour. The workshop discussed the main requirements of employers, workers and labour inspectors in identifying construction sector risks, and how to identify and address risks, including heat stress, accident-related practices and identifying root causes, and current occupational safety and health rules regarding addressing heat challenges.
