New Government Services On Sanad App Launched

Amman, Oct. 19 (Petra) - The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship launched more than 50 new services on flagship e-government gateway app Sanad on Tuesday.
According to a ministry statement, the new services cover licensing, civil status, health insurance and Ministry of Justice, as well as scheduling appointments to receive government services.
To benefit from all the services provided by the application, citizens must activate user's digital ID by visiting Sanad stations across Jordan, implemented in partnership with government institutions or through participating banks, the ministry said.
ID activation service was launched on applications provided by the following banks of Arab Bank, Union Bank, and Housing Bank, and work is underway to activate this requirement through other banks, the ministry pointed out.
To date, number of downloads of the government app Sanad reached nearly 3 million.
