Army commander: Iran not tolerate any violence or foreign interference in its affairs

(MENAFN) The chief commander of the Iranian army has stated that the country's armed forces would not tolerate foreign involvement or violence.

Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi made the statements while speaking at a military event on Sunday, saying that all branches of Iran's Armed Forces assist one another and serve as the nation's front line in defending the country's security and thwarting threats.

“Our enemies cannot tolerate the progress of this nation and the solidarity between the nation and the Armed Forces,” he asserted, adding, “One of their main goals is to undermine security ... and finally weaken the defensive power of the country.”

To achieve their frightening aims, Iran's foes are adopting hybrid warfare and new means to weaken the country's defenses and crush the Iranian people's resistance, according to Mousavi.

“Their most important strategy is to spread despair, shatter the steadfastness of the great Iranian nation, and undermine security of Iran in order to disrupt its independence and progress. They seek to deprive this nation of security and hope, and destroy its resistance,” he pointed out.
