Expat Group's Sports Carnival Concludes

The year-long sports fest organised by Expats SportEv in association with Cultural Forum Qatar concluded with a sports carnival.
Brazilian soccer star Rafinha inaugurated the event.
Community Police Department director-general Brig Ibrahim Mohamed Rashid al-Semaih, Hamad Medical Corporation's Communicable Disease Center medical director Dr Muna al-Maslamani, Qatar Red Crescent Society's volunteering and follow up executive director Mona Fadel al-Sulaiti, Abdulla Mohamed Dosari (Qatar Sports for All Federation), Maj Talal Menassar al-Madhouri (Community Policing Department), Indian cine artiste Hariprashanth Varma and a number of Indian community leaders were among the guests.


The winners of different competitions were announced.
The winners: Weight loss competition: Sajid Vellinipparambil (gents), Shaheena Ali Akbar (ladies), best performed couple: Vishnuraj and Priyanka Prakash, best performance in different BMI categories: Pranav Perumbil, Muhsin Mubarak, Shafeek Thajudheen (gents) and Sumayya Mujeeb, Lulu Ahsana, Juvairiya K T (ladies).
10k step challenge: Hassan k Mohamed (gold), Shakir Cheratayil (silver), best performers: Jamsheed K T, Shanas V K, Sajid Vellinipparambil, Rayees C Abu, Fahad, Jabir P K and Vishnuraj.
Box cricket tournament: Classic Mangalore (winner), Zenith Qatar (runner-up), Man of the final: Afthab (Classic Mangalore), batsman and man of the series: Muhsin (Zenith Qatar), bowler: Imran (Classic Mangalore).
Penalty shootout: Argentina Fans Qatar (winners), Alpha FC (runner-up), best goalkeeper: Jamsheer (Argentina Fans). Tug-of-war (male): SAK Qatar (winner), Team Tirur Qatar (runner-up), Tug-of-war (female): 365 Mallu Fitness Club (winner), Phoenix Qatar (runner-up).
Arm wrestling (male, below 80 category): Rinto Jose (first), Asif (second); above 80 category: Firoze (first), Shaheen (second). Arm wrestling (female, below 80 category): Nufaisa (first), Binsi Nisha (second); above 80 category: Megha Abraham (first), Pranavi Krishna (second).
