Jassim And Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation Supports Marriage Of 250 Youths In Gaza Strip

Within the framework of Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation grant, the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza signed an agreement to support the marriage of 250 youths at Gaza Strip.

The agreement stipulates the provision of $500,000 to the Palestinian Youth Support Fund. A total of 250 young people will benefit from this initiative at the first stage. This grant aims to alleviate the suffering of young people and support their efforts in providing the costs and requirements of marriage.

The aid will be delivered to beneficiaries who will be selected by the Palestinian Youth Support Fund and under the supervision of 
the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction 
of Gaza.

Social stability:
In this context, CEO of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, Saeed Muthkar Al Hajri, said that this initiative comes within the efforts of the foundation, which seeks to support the youth in Gaza Strip and provide facilities that enable them to establish their family life in an easy way to enhance their social and financial stability, having a positive impact on society as a whole.

He added that the mechanism through which the support will be provided is an innovative model to a large extent due to its sustainability elements. 

Al Hajri said that the support provided within the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation grant is a interest-free loan as the beneficiaries of the support amount, which amounts to $2,000, are required to repay the amount in the form of easy monthly payments.

He said that this ensures these payments are redistributed as interest-free loans to new beneficiaries of young people who are about to get married, and thus benefit a larger number of Gazan youth in a sustainable manner.

Quality projects:
Al Hajri concluded his statement by saying that the Foundation pays attention to most needy communities through its various projects, and provides various forms of support aimed at achieving a human and societal renaissance, by strengthening social cohesion at the level of individuals and families.

The Hamad Bin Jassim Centre for Integrated Rehabilitation Care, which was opened by the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in Gaza Strip last year, is an innovative model for the concept of charitable work and its sustainable development impact.

The foundation seeks to devote through its qualitative projects and initiatives in various societies that need support at the social, educational and health levels. Hamad Bin Jassim Centre for Integrated Rehabilitation Care aims at meeting the needs and requirements of people with disabilities of all ages, especially those with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, in various fields of rehabilitation, care, supportive medical services and special education in accordance with the best medical systems and modern rehabilitation methods.

Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charity provides aid worth QR300,000 in August

As part of its commitment to social responsibilities and support of the various needy segments of society, Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation revealed its monthly aid provided in August.

It included health aid, as well as financial aid for a number of needy individuals and families. Through these monthly activities, the foundation enhanced its support to needy people within the country enabling them to live a decent and stable life, by relying entirely on the foundation's self-financed activities, ensuring continuity factors, and reaching those entitled to support on an ongoing basis.

The total aid that was provided by the foundation in August amounted to QR300,000 reaching 113 beneficiaries. This monthly and continuous aid comes throughout the year, due to the great interest that the foundation gives to charitable initiatives and projects within Qatar, which are at the top of its priority.

 

Health and education:
Given that health and education sectors reflect the vision of the foundation, the month of August witnessed the provision of aid in the field of health amounting to QR46,000.

This assistance included covering medical bills for many patients in Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) who are in need and whose health conditions impose financial burdens on them beyond their resources. In addition, to providing financial support to the Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA).

Financial aid:
Through its constant endeavour to provide financial assistance to needy people, Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation realises the importance of that support in achieving comprehensive community development.

As the foundation has adopted a flexible and effective mechanism, it aims to support the largest segment of those groups in need, and to diversify the forms of financial support between financial and in-kind assistance, according to the needs of each individual or family.

The value of the financial aid provided by the foundation in August was QR156,500, while the total cost of in-kind aid was QR97,500.
