IAEA Mission Arrives At Zaporizhzhia NPP


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The IAEA mission has arrived at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

'The IAEA mission has arrived at the Zaporizhzhia NPP,' the press service of Energoatom, Ukraine's nuclear plant operator, posted on Telegram .

As reported, on August 31, a mission of the International Atomic energy Agency (IAEA) arrived in Zaporizhzhia to visit the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in occupied Enerhodar town.

Today, September 1, the Russians shelled the road on the pre-agreed route of the mission. Russian troops also struck Enerhodar with mortars. Later, the invaders opened fire with MLRS and from helicopters. The killed and injured are reported.

The ZNPP, Europe's largest nuclear power plant, has been captured by the Russian military since March 4. Since then, the invaders have placed military equipment and ammunition in the plant's territory, shelling the surrounding area.

The United Nations, the United States, and Ukraine called on the Russian Federation to withdraw military equipment and personnel from the nuclear facility.
