Oji: Iran willing to switch Turkmenistan’s natural gas to Armenia


(MENAFN) Shana mentioned in a report that Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji has spoken about the nation’s willingness to switch Turkmenistan’s natural gas to Armenia.

On Monday, Oji made the comments in a gathering with Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan in the Iranian capital.

Talking in this gathering, the Iranian minister also stated that the National Iranian Gas Company's (NIGC) willingness for growing gas exports to bordering Armenia.

Oji stated to Shana after the gathering “Negotiations for gas swap from Turkmenistan to Armenia have started and we will soon achieve good results in this regard due to the high capacity of the country's gas network.”

Oji also stated that “Today, during the negotiations, good agreements were reached on increasing gas exports, petrochemical products, and comprehensive development of mutual ties.”
