Turkey's records new highest in exports last month


(MENAFN) On Thursday, Trade Minister Mehmet Mus stated that a 24.6 percent yearly increase raised Turkey’s exports to a monthly highest of USD23.4 billion last month.

Mehmet Mus posted on Twitter “This amount is the all-time highest in monthly exports.”

The Trade Minister also stated that Turkey’s exports in the last 12 months have surged more than USD240 billion.

On the word of the Ministry of Trade figures the nation’s imports last month amounted to USD29.4 billion, a yearly hike of 34.9 percent.

The foreign exchange volume last month grew 30.1 percent on an annual basis to USD52.8 billion.

Turkey’s biggest export destination in April was Germany with more than USD2 billion, shadowed by the US at nearly USD1.8 billion as well as the UK with at least USD1.1 billion.
