Himalaya Airlines maiden fight on Ctg-Kathmandu route takes off

Dhaka : Himalaya Airlines, a leading private airline of Nepal, on April 7, inaugurated its first ever direct flight on Chattogram-Kathmandu route. 
With 20 passengers, the maiden flight of Himalaya Airlines departed Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattagram for Kathmandu at 2:55 pm, said Md Moniruzzaman, Director of SAir Air BD Ltd, General Sales Agent of the Nepalese airline. 
High officials of Chattagram Airport including its Director Wing Cdr Farhad Hossen Khan, Assistant Director (Security) Shahidul Islam, GSA Chairman Shadath Hossain Sagor, and GSA Director Moniruzzaman Rose were present on the occasion. 
Moniruzzaman mentioned the airlines will be initially operating two weekly flights on the route. 
Currently, Himalaya Airlines is operating seven weekly flights on Dhaka-Kathmandu route. 
The flight from Chattogram to Kathmandu takes around one hour and 40 minutes. The airfare on the route is between BDT 28,000 to BDT 32,000.
