Qatar - Loyola School organises orientation programme for parents of students

Doha: Loyola International School (LIS) organised an Orientation Programme for the Academic year 2022-23 recently for all the parents who have newly joined the Loyola family. 

Involvement of parents in their children's education allows the children to maximise on their untapped potentials. To get the best out of the children, joint efforts of parents and teachers are essential and forming the foundation of a great relationship between the school and the parents is communication, mutual respect and clear understanding of what is best for the children. 

LIS Principal Pramod Kumar Ranwaka addressed the gathering and acquainted the parents to Loyola Group of Institutions. He introduced the pillars of the organisation, the ever-helping administrative, academic and the supporting staff. He further enlightened the gathering by walking them through the vision and mission of the school. 

He spoke about how leaders are formed by listening and constantly learning, and emphasised on the tagline of the school“Listen. Learn. Lead”.

Details of the orientation were presented by the academic coordinators, Minaaz Dange for the Kindergarten, Shazia Sultana for primary and Biby C Mytheen for the senior sections. Orientation conducted by the school gave a clear idea to all the parents about the basic rules and regulations, the code of conduct, the curriculum and assessments, annual holidays and vacations, the campus management system, the school clubs and the channels of communication.

Parents were further given an insight to the activities conducted in the school during the academic year 2021-22 which reinforced that Loyola believes in all-round development of a child's personality, academically and otherwise. Principal Ranwaka opened the forum for questions and answers where parents appreciated the entire event and its organisation. He answered all the questions and informed the parents that Loyola International School has received CBSE Affiliation till 12th grade and quoted“Loyola believes in thriving for quality!.”

Parents were also given a tour of the campus.
