Development expert Dakik returns to Kabul after 38 years

KABUL (Pajhwok): Veteran international political and development expert Sultan Masood Dakik has returned to Afghanistan from Germany after 38 years.

Dakik has implemented development projects in Asian, European and African countries and received the medal of honor from the German federal president in 2005.

Dakik arrived in Kabul on Sunday and was warmly welcomed by a Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office of Protocol.

At the Kabul Airport, he told Pajhwok Afghan News:“Afghanistan is our ancestral country, I am very happy to be here. The purpose of my visit is to meet my relatives and the people of Afghanistan.”

He added during the trip he would discuss with acting government officials matters related to politics, the economy, and the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
