PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A senior Pakistani journalist has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province.

Hasnain Shah, crime reporter at Capital TV, was gunned down by armed motorcyclists in front of the Lahore Press Club on Monday, Police said.

Shah, who received seven bullets in his chest, was killed on the spot. Police took his body to the morgue, with the motive behind the killing yet to be known.

Journalists sitting in the press club rushed to the scene and found their colleague dead inside his car. They informed police of the incident.
