Turkey sends condolences over passing of top Ezidi official in KRG
(MENAFN) Turkey sent condolences over the passing of Sheikh Shamo, who is a top Ezidi official in the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG).
Turkish General Consulate in Erbil tweeted “We are saddened with the death of Sheikh Shamo, adviser to KRG Prime Minister Masrorur Barzani for Yazidi Affairs and the head of Lalish Cultural Center. We extend our condolences to the entire Ezidi community.”
On Tuesday, Shamo died at a hospital in Ankara, 20 days following testing positive for coronavirus.
