Dhaka : Thai Airways resumed flight operations on Bangkok-Dhaka-Bangkok route from January 6, 2022 following the country's easing of restrictions on passenger transport from Bangladesh.
The airline is now operating Bangkok-Dhaka flights TG321 on Thursdays arriving at 12:30 pm (local time), while Dhaka-Bangkok flight TG322 departs at 13:40 pm with convenient connections to different destinations like Sydney, Seoul, Chicago, Tokyo Haneda and Narita, Manila, Abu Dhabi and many more.
Thai Airways has deployed its most modern wide body aircraft Airbus A350-900 with capacity of 32 business class and 288 economy seats on the route.
Based on passenger demand, THAI intends to add more flights in the coming months, said the airline in a press release.
Passenger transport to Thailand had been suspended since late March 2020, due to Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions.
However, the government of Thailand lifted entry restrictions for nationals from Bangladesh and other countries in recent months. But quarantine for seven days in destinations under the Sandbox programme is effective.
THAI management has awarded their passenger General Sales Agency to Air Galaxy Ltd who has set up a new THAI Airways dedicated Sales and Ticketing office at 25 Gulshan Avenue (1st Floor) with branches in Chattogram and Sylhet.
THAI has been operating to Bangladesh for over 50 years providing air connectivity with many South East and Far Eastern countries, with a service excellence know as Smooth as Silk, added the airline in the release.
