The Arabic Department organised activities displaying the most important facts in a Qatari life, in the past and present days. Meanwhile, the Art department spearheaded an art competition.
The Primary School, through the initiative of Librarian Iuliana Ionita exhibited a Qatar Landmark and Symbol expo 2021, which is a unique way to show love and respect for Qatar. For this activity, parents were asked to bring recycled materials and all classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5 used these to build important landmarks or symbols of Qatar where team work, collaboration, creativity, commitment and independence were demonstrated by all our students all throughout the process.
Among the landmarks that were done are Al Fanar Tower, The Blue Mosque, Torch Tower, Al Bayt Stadium, Al Zubarah Fort, the Grand Mosque, Souq Waqif and Katara Beach. Also, symbols of Qatar like camel, the falcon, the date tree, Qatar flag, Qatar Airways airplane and even an underwater pearl diving scene. All the landmarks and symbols were displayed in the school and parents are able to come and check and even bid. The highest bidder will be asked to donate the amount to Qatar Animal Welfare Society.
