13 omicron cases in Portuguese soccer team

Portuguese health officials identify 13 omicron cases. A new coronavirus variant thought to be more contagious has been found. Among team members of a professional soccer club. In addition, New Zealand announced that it will continue with plans to reopen its internal borders after months of closure, while also restricting travel from African countries. The World Health Organization calls for borders to remain open. Citing the fact that the variant has already been detected in many countries. While losing borders often has a limited effect.
