Longtime Indian expatriate passes away in Kerala
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Methalakkandi Ahmed Koya (66), a longtime resident of Qatar, passed away in Kerala, India on Friday. The burial took place on Friday at Kannamparamb Masjid near Kozhikode. Koya is survived by his wife Kaliyarakam Rafeeqa and their children, Rafji Ahmed, Rashad Ahmed and Rana Ahmed, a community source said. Koya has been in Qatar over 35 years and had worked with the Ministry of Municipality in Qatar. He was the local marketing executive for UAE-based Radio Asia in the earlier years. Koya has also been the Doha representative of Jenny Flowers, a firm used by Indian expatriates to send flowers or gifts to their loved ones back home.
