Iran’s exports of steel products reach 1.62M tons


(MENAFN) In the first six months of the current Iranian year, Iran’s export of steel products rose 69 percent, in comparison to the previous year same time span.

The country also exported 1.62 million tons of steel products in the mentioned period of the current year, as the figure stood at 960,000 tons in the last year same period.

More than 6.768 million tons of steel products were produced in the first six months of this year, showing a nine-percent drop, in comparison to the figure for the same time span in the past year that was due to a continuous power outage in the country, the report added.

Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry marked a three-month waiver for some approved steel production units to be capable to export steel products especially long sections.
