Without China, world might be in slump

(MENAFN) In a new article in the Portuguese newspaper Publico, Antonio dos Santos Queiros, a researcher at the University of Lisbon stated: "without China, the world would be in recession."

Queiros noted in the article: "it is not a good idea to align forces for the economic war against the People's Republic of China."

The scholar added that the Chinese administration "upholds fair competition in the market, overseeing to keep everything in order and promote sustainable development, but intervening when the market fails."

Queiros stated that it wasn’t suitable to employ Western concepts of politics to understand the fresh Chinese model, further saying the model has guaranteed the Chinese success in poverty mitigation.
