Coalition shoots down Houthi drone targeting southern Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led coalition to support the legitimate Yemeni government said Saturday it shot down an explosive drone launched by the Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia's civilian-populated southern city of Najran.
The coalition described the foiled attempt as "deliberate" in a statement quoted by Saudi state news agency, SPA.
It comes after Houthi militants launched two drones targeting Saudi residential areas earlier in the day.
Separately, the coalition said it destroyed a Houthi-administered drone-launcher in the northern Yemeni district of Al-Jawf. (end)
