Tunisians complain about president’s ‘exceptional’ rules


(MENAFN) Hundreds of Tunisians was in the capital, Tunis, to request a stop to Leader Kais Saied’s "exceptional" rules.

Also, many campaigners, politicians as well as human rights protectors participated in the complaint that was in front of the Municipal Theater in Habib Bourguiba Avenue in central Tunis.

Saied expelled the administration, balanced assembly, and assumed managerial power on July 25, as he vowed that his special rules are intended to "save" Tunis, his detractors lay blame on him for arranging a takeover.

“No to coup against state institutions", “No to retracting from legitimacy” and “The power belongs to the people" were among signs waved by the protesters in Saturday’s complaint.
