Finance Ministry places government bonds for UAH 1.2B


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On September 14, the Ministry of Finance raised UAH 1.17 billion to the state budget at an auction for the placement of domestic government bonds, according to the ministry's press service.

“Today [September 14] at actions for the placement of domestic government bonds, the Finance Ministry offered investors six issues of securities in the national currency. Overall, UAH 1.174 billion was attracted to the state budget from the placement of securities,” reads the report posted on the ministry's Facebook page.

After a long break, the Ministry of Finance returned to the placement of three-month instruments and raised rates due to the market situation. For instruments with a maturity of more than two years, rates remained at the previous level, and for three-year rates - reduced by 15 b.p.

The average yield of three-month bonds was 9.50%, one-year bonds – 11.37%, one-and half-year bonds - 11.49%, two-year bonds - 12.09%, three-year bonds – 12.30%, and five-year bonds – 12.59%.

As Ukrinform reported, the Finance Ministry raised UAH 1.37 billion to the state budget at an auction on September 7.
