Turkish ambassador says Ankara, Doha collaborate on operation of Kabul airport


(MENAFN) According to the Turkish ambassador in Doha, Turkey and Qatar collaborate together on the Afghan crisis.

The Qatari daily Al Raya quoted Mustafa Goksu as saying that Ankara and Doha "consistently discuss the humanitarian conditions and the security and Political developments in Afghanistan given its significance to the Afghan people and international peace and security.”

The official further declared that "There is a fruitful cooperation between Turkey and Qatar on the operation of Kabul airport as it is considered a lifeline for those who are stranded in Afghanistan," saying that collaboration was continuing amid both countries over providing technical support to run the airport.

Goksu also stated that there is "consensus between Ankara and Doha on the ways to establish security and stability in Afghanistan."
