Afghanistan- 52pc of Americans want Biden to stand down

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): A majority of Americans want President Joe Biden to stand down over the precipitous and chaotic withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey found that a 52 percent of Americans wants Biden to resign over the troop pullout.

According to the Washington Examiner just 39 percent opposed Biden's resignation, But likely voters are averse to Vice President Kamala Harris replacing him.

Biden's approval rating is also dropping just like his predecessor Donald Trump's approval-disapproval rating had nosedived to at this stage in his presidency.

The survey found 60 percent of voters backed a statement last week's statement by Republican Senator. Lindsey Graham:“I think Biden deserves to be impeached because he's abandoned thousands of Afghans who fought with us and he's going to abandon some American citizens because he capitulated to the Taliban to a 31 August deadline.”

Thirty-eight percent of respondents said Biden's vice-president was“qualified” to be president, with 58 percent believing she is not.

The survey was conducted between Aug. 30 and 31 when the evacuation mission out of the Kabul airport ended and several hundred Americans citizens were abandoned.
