Europe’s stock markets settle lower amidst increasing inflation


(MENAFN) On Friday, Jul. 30 key European stock markets settled lower with increasing inflation and the German economy expanding at a slower pace than projected.

STOXX Europe 600, which comprises of about 90 percent of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 European nations, decreased 0.45 percent to 461.74 points.

London's FTSE 100 declined 0.65 percent to 7,032 points and the German DAX 30 dropped 0.61 percent hitting 15,544.

The French stock market, the CAC 40, declined 0.32 percent reaching 6,612, whereas the Italian Borsa Italiana FTSE MIB 30 decreased 0.6 percent to settle at 25,363 and Spain's IBEX 35 declined 1.26 percent hitting 8,675.
