Libyan stakeholders to be advised by Int'l group to cooperate, improve domestic union


(MENAFN)Along with the UN mission in Libya, Libyan stakeholders were advised by The Economic Working Group (EWG) of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya to cooperate to improve domestic unification.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) stated that The EWG Co-Chairs arranged a summit with senior Libyan senior officials to "discuss the budget impasse and explore options to address the country's pressing needs."

The statement also showed that The EWG Co-Chairs urged the Libyan administration, the government and other Libyan actors to find truthful cooperation answers and set restrictions basis to develop the unification of Libya and offer services to its citizens.

Additionally, it declared "The Co-Chairs noted that making progress on the budget can serve as a significant step toward additional political compromise and consensus that is urgently needed at this stage of the political process."
