Doha: With the participation of over 100 speakers from around the globe, the inaugural Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg will be held virtually from June 21 to 23.
''The Qatar Economic Forum will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of June, with participants from the world’s leading experts and decision-makers in the fields of finance, economics, investment, technology, energy, education, sports and climate,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a tweet.
According to the Forum’s website Qatareconomicforum.com, it will welcome a global delegation of influential voices in business, finance, and economic policy, as they prepare a blueprint for the next stage of international growth.
Over 100 speakers will participate in the forum including heads of state, global CEOs from the world’s most influential corporations, leading global investors as well as influential voices from the worlds of culture, sports, and entertainment.
Being supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) and Media City; the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg will be attended by a global community of journalists, current and future business leaders, founders, entrepreneurs, policy experts and other stakeholders in the future of international development, business, finance and trade.

According to the Forum’s website, the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg will identify opportunities, present solutions, and rethink the global economic landscape through the lens of the Middle East. ''Anchored strategically in Doha, the Forum draws on Qatar’s ability to link Asia with Africa and beyond, as well as its position as a leader in transitional energy technologies and the home to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.”
''Virtually convening global business leaders, heads of state and policy innovators from June 21-23, 2021, the inaugural Qatar Economic Forum will look forward as we emerge, haltingly and unevenly, from the economic shock created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The themes of the Forum include Leadership in a Post-Pandemic World, Technology Advanced, A Sustainable World, Markets and Investing, Power and Trade Flows, The Changing Consumer, The Power of Sport, A More Inclusive World.
