GCC Secretary General virtually meets EFTA counterpart


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, June 01, 2021, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States (GCC) Dr. Naif Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf met virtually today with the Secretary General of European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Henri Gétaz.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hajraf confirmed the acceleration of free trade negotiations that the GCC is conducting with many countries and other international and economic groups.
They also discussed issues related to the practical implementation of the free trade agreement between GCC and EFTA countries and ways to accelerate its pace that contributes to promoting the progress of economic growth and integration of the GCC states and strengthening their international economic and trade relations.
It is noteworthy that the free trade agreement between GCC and EFTA was signed in Norwegian city of Hamar on June 22, 2009.
