Exports to China profit almost all U.S. industries


(MENAFN)The U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC) stated on Tuesday, May 25, throughout a meeting held in Shanghai, that the United States' exports to China have profited almost all U.S. states and industries.

Statistics issued by the council revealed that U.S. exports to China increased by about 18 percent year-on-year to over USD123 billion in 2020, while its exports to the rest of the world dropped by 15 percent throughout the same period.

China became the United States's third main market for exports of supplies throughout the period. China was also between the top five supplies destinations for 45 U.S. states, with 35 states witnessing expansion in exports to China and nine gaining more than USD1 billion in the expansion of export value, added the council.

Among them, Texas revealed the major export value to China, reaching USD16.9 billion, while Louisiana attained the major expansion, it augmented almost 120 percent year on year.
