Australia considers speeding up coronavirus vaccine distribution for over-50s

(MENAFN) Australians aged over 50 could get vaccinated earlier than scheduled under a fresh distribution schedule.

The National Cabinet, which consists of Prime Minister Scott Morrison and state and territory leaders, on Monday night revealed a plan to bring the inoculation schedule for over 50s forward.

Under the preliminary distribution strategy, the immunization of Australians aged 50-69 was not scheduled to begin until mid-year, but Morrison stated it might start in weeks.
