Western weaponries main reason behind absence of Gulf's peacefulness

(MENAFN) Iran cautioned Saturday that Western weapons are "the main cause for instability" in the Gulf.

Western armaments are not only the main reason of the death of many Yemenis, but also the main cause of instability in the Gulf, said Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry, on the official website of the Ministry.

He further noted that stability and peaceful cannot be anticipated in the Gulf region without stopping the "flood" of arms exports.

On the likelihood of reviving the Iranian nuclear agreement and including further members, Khatibzadeh expressed that the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is a "non-renegotiable" international multilateral agreement with defined and "unchangeable" participants and was ratified by UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
