Jiangsu witnesses thriving China-Europe cargo train service in 2020


(MENAFN)Nanjing customs stated on Friday, January 15, that a total of 1,273 China-Europe freight train trips from or to east China's Jiangsu Province were made in 2020, an upsurge of 36.4 percent compared with the past year.

The trains transferred freight worth 12.31 billion yuan (about USD1.9 billion), increasing 53.8 percent from 2019, stated Zhang Yaping, deputy head of the customs.

In 2020, three new routes were initiated, taking the number of China-Europe freight train routes to 12.

Hamburg in Germany and Ulan Bator in Mongolia were between the new destinations.
